This season, Shanle has picked off a pass in each of the first two games. His explanation: "It's just a general understanding of what offenses want to do", he said. The Saints' defense has six interceptions and a fumble recovery in two games. "I think the biggest plus has been the takeaways, giving the ball back to our offense, " Shanle said.
