Details
  • Texans 34 : Titans 31 Brown's 23-yarder lifts Texans over Titans 34-31
  • Broncos 27 : Browns 6 Broncos running back Correll Buckhalter after he dragged a defender the final 8 yards on a 45-yard touchdown run against the Browns: “That’s called heart, man. You’re that close to the end zone, you’ve got to get in.”
  • G Russ Hochstein didn't start his second straight game at right guard because Chris Kuper returned from injury for the Denver Broncos. But Hochstein was used as a fullback in the goal-line offense, a role he filled in New England. Hochstein is a typical Patriots linemen, meaning he could be used in gadget situations by Josh McDaniels. (PatriotsInsider.com)
  • Saints 48 : Eagles 22 TWO GAMES, TWO INTERCEPTIONS: Before this season, linebacker Scott Shanle had played in 83 NFL games, starting 56, without intercepting a pass. This season, Shanle has picked off a pass in each of the first two games.
His explanation: "It's just a general understanding of what offenses want to do", he said.
The Saints' defense has six interceptions and a fumble recovery in two games.
"I think the biggest plus has been the takeaways, giving the ball back to our offense, " Shanle said. "If you give our offense the ball back with the short field, they're going to get points for you." (The Times-Picayune)
