- [Saints vs Vikings] On the first return, a 71-yarder in third quarter, Reggie Bush evaded gunner Robert Ferguson and slipped a tackle by linebacker Vinny Ciurciu, then picked up key blocks from Jason Bullocks (sic), Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Aaron Stecker en route to the end zone.
In the 4th Quarter...the Saints blitzed safety Josh Bullocks and linebackers Scott Shanle and Jon Vilma on the play, a curous move considering the down and distance: third-and-16 at the 33. Bullocks came free off the edge -- thanks to a cagey move by end Will Smith who kept tackle Bryant McKinnie from blocking Bullocks with a sly grab of the tackle's jersey -- but didn't reach Frerotte in time. Rookie cornerback Tracy Porter suffered injury and insult at the end of the play. Not only was he beaten deep for the score, but he suffered a season-ending injury when he fell awkwardly on his right wrist at the end of the play. (NOLA)
- [Buccaneers vs Broncos] Linebacker Barrett Ruud left the Buccaneers game early in Week 5 with an apparent knee injury. The St. Petersburg Times is reporting there doesn't appear to be structural damage, though there is likely to be some swelling and some pain. He will undergo an MRI exam back in Tampa on Monday.
RotoWire Update: Ruud was unable to finish the game in Week 5 but after the game he met with the trainers and was up beat about his chances to practice this week.
