Details
  • [Seahawks 27 | Ravens 6] A positive for the Ravens: "Sam Koch looked pretty good today. We don't need to look for a punter in the off-season." (WNST.net)
  • [Titans 10 | Jets 6] Vanden Bosch has 3 sacks in Titans win over Jets
  • [Eagles 38 | Saints 23] Bradley, Defense Heaven-Sent In Win Over Saints
  • The key defensive series of the game for the Eagles came in the third quarter, when they stopped the Saints three times from the 1-yard line, with rookie linebacker Stewart Bradley – playing because Takeo Spikes is out for the season with a torn rotator cuff – being given credit for the tackle, or least a hit, on all three downs. Later, in the fourth quarter, Bradley also had an interception. (Philly.com)
  • Rookie Bradley breaks out
  • Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb showed some of his old form with a 40 yard dash around the left end on just the third play from scrimmage. Safety Josh Bullocks, initially beat on the play, never gave up and punched the ball out of McNabb’s hands. The bounding ball nearly ended up being recovered by a diving Mike McKenzie. But, the ball eluded McKenzie and instead ended up in the arms of Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis in the end zone. (nosreview.com)
  • It was a day of many firsts for rookie linebacker Bradley
  • Bradley has promising debut
  • The last time the third round pick from Nebraska made it on the field as a defender was Sept. 23 against the Lions. After watching him turn in a game for the ages — seven tackles, a sack, an interception and two key tackles on a game-changing goal line stand in the third quarter — it makes one wonder where this linebacker has been all year long. (PhillyBurbs.com)
  • [Cowboys 20 | Panthers 13] Recognizing this could be Mike Rucker’s last game at Bank of America Stadium, the home crowd gave the nine-year veteran a rousing ovation during pre-game introductions.
Rucker is in the final year of his contract with the Panthers and is contemplating retirement. (Charlotte.com)
  • Final home game for Rucker
  • [49ers 21 | Buccaneers 19] The Bucs took the lead before halftime, taking advantage of a Niners turnover. Davis fumbled deep in his own territory, and Tampa Bay linebacker Barrett Ruud recovered to place the ball on the Niners 36. (FootballCoachingClub.com)
  • [Bills | Giants] Chris Kelsay got good pressure on Manning to force a third down incompletion on their opening series. He had five tackles. (BuffaloBills.com BBS)
