Details
  • [Patriots vs Titans] LeKevin Smith plays well in first start
  • [Rams vs Chargers] Starting right guard Richie Incognito suffered an ankle injury in the first half, but the injury was not thought to be serious. Wide receiver Drew Bennett left with bruised ribs after a 34-yard reception in the second half. (StLToda.com)
  • [Seahawks vs Packers] K Josh Brown nailed both FG attempts in inclement weather. (GridIronGateway.com)
  • [Saints vs Bengals] Linebacker Scott Shanle made two big plays on back-to-back drives in the second quarter. The first time, he stuffed Watson for no gain on second-and-1. The next time, he stopped Watson for no gain on third-and-1. (NOLA.com)
  • David Schexnaydre Jr NOLA blog: When is NFL Films releasing "The Best of Josh Bullocks"? It would be a tape of other teams scoring long passing touchdowns with Josh Bullocks coming over to the WR just late enough to not be able to make a play. I think I will copy and paste the sentence "Josh Bullocks was late coming over" so that I will save myself time during the season.
  • [Ravens vs Giants] Corey Ross ran hard, fighting for every yard on his five carries, good for 20 yards. (ExtremeRavens.com)
  • Punter Sam Koch put on another spectacular display of directional punting, netting 52.3 yards per punt and holding return specialist RW McQuarters to three returns for ten yards. (PressBoxOnline.com)
  • Running back Cory Ross was shocked when he was clotheslined by 6-foot-5, 345-pound defensive tackle Manny Wright and no flag was thrown. "This isn't wrestling," said Ross, who was unhurt. "That was crazy. That's got to be a penalty."
  • [Packers vs Seahawks] DeJuan Groce didn’t appear until near the end of the third quarter, and he allowed Paul Thompson to complete three passes to David Clowney in his limited time in the game. It is going to take a lot more than that to warrant consideration as a 5th CB. Groce has only been with the team a short time, but he only has a short time to prove he is worth consideration for a roster spot. (SeahawksBlog.blogspot.com)
