Details
  • Huskers.com Week 7
  • Bengals vs Panthers: P Kyle Larson dropped four punts inside the Carolina 20-yard line, all in the second half when the Bengals gained the field position battle.
  • Packers vs Dolphins: RB Ahman Green sat out Green Bay's first two possessions of the second half because of cramping. Green stayed in the locker room after halftime to receive intravenous fluids, but returned in time to break off a 70-yard run. "I was in here most of the third quarter," Green said. "I didn't want to think (that he was out for the game) because I've been cramped up before. But I got the IVs in me quickly and got back out there as fast as I could." (Rotoworld.com)
  • Green's return propels Pack over Dolphins
  • Ahman Green (18 carries, 118 yards) came back after missing the previous two games and broke loose for a 70-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, pushing the lead to 27-16 and stirring flashbacks to 2003 after he'd managed just 38 yards on his previous 14 carries. (Madison.com)
  • Lions vs Jets: Hope and accountability are there; talent's another matter (Raiola)
  • "When you're a bad team and something looks funny, they throw the flag on you just because they think they should," Lions quarterback Kitna said after his team lost its sixth game in seven starts this season, 31-24 to the New York Jets Sunday.
Kitna was talking about a holding call against Dominic Raiola, one of the NFL's better centers, that wiped out a 21-yard gain in the second quarter. "It was so perfect a block, so perfect a wipeout, that they figured there had to be something wrong with it," Kitna said. "So they threw the flag."
  • Bills vs Patriots: Fellow defensive end Chris Kelsay has been putting up solid numbers of late, too. Though he committed a critical personal foul in the first quarter, Kelsay legally slammed an unsuspecting Tom Brady in the second quarter to record his fifth sack of the year, a career high.
“Chris (plays) 150 miles per hour, all the time,” Fletcher-Baker said. “That’s a guy I love playing with, because I know he’s going to give me everything he has.”
Kelsay, however, said he and his linemates aren’t satisfied with their play so far.
“I don’t think we’ve put together a full 60 minutes (yet) of getting in the QBs face and applying pressure,” he said. (Greater Niagara Newspapers)
  • Chris Kelsay sacked Tom Brady, who turned right into him on a fake hand-off was a pleasure to watch. Kelsay bear hugged him and took him down.
