Details
  • Huskers.com Week 5
  • Ravens vs Broncos: After a Ravens' drive stalled on Denver's 46-yard line, punter Sam Koch shanked the punt, kicking it off the side of his foot for just 10 yards, setting up Denver for a short drive that resulted in the go-ahead field goal and a 6-3 lead. (AP)
  • Titans vs Colts: The Colts' running attack has been mediocre without Edgerrin James. Both Dominic Rhodes and Joseph Addai sport below average DVOAs. With seven and sometimes only six men in the box, the Colts often went to run plays. They ran the ball effectively, but eventually the Titans would make a big play or the Colts would self-destruct. Kyle Vanden Bosch short circuited two drives with stops in the backfield. Another drive stalled after a holding penalty. (Fox Sports)
  • Bears vs Bills: Safety Mike Brown chewed out Bears defensive players after they allowed Buffalo to drive 47 yards on a third-quarter march that was thwarted by defensive end Alex Brown's interception.
"These guys are self-motivators. These guys have taken ownership of themselves," Rivera said. "We came out in the second half and didn't have a very good series until (Brown) got the interception.
"Mike Brown called the defense together on the sidelines and kind of jumped their (rear end). That was good. They need that kind of stuff to come from within. It shouldn't come from the coaches all the time. They've kind of stepped up in terms of leadership roles. I think that's important."
  • Saints vs Buccaneers: The Saints defense, which struggled to contain runningbacks Carnell Williams and Michael Pittman, was led by young safety Josh Bullocks, who wrapped up 10 tackles from his free safety position. (NewOrleansProFootball.com)
  • Panthers vs Browns: Mike Minter's late interception of a Charlie Frye pass iced the game for the Panthers.
