Details
  • 11/20/05 - Cardinals 38-Rams 28: Rams cornerback DeJuan Groce sprained his neck and safety Adam Archuleta sustained a concussion when the pair collided on the Arizona Cardinals' first offensive play Sunday. Groce returned in the third quarter.
Archuleta's helmet made contact with Groce's neck after a reception by Anquan Boldin with 10:47 to go in the first quarter. Groce was down for several minutes before walking slowly off the field while surrounded by medical personnel. Archuleta tried to keep playing, but left the lineup later in the first quarter. (AP)
  • 11/20/05 - Jaguars 31-Titans 28: The Titans came up big after Kyle Vanden Bosch caused a Byron Leftwich fumble and Antwan Odom recovered the football and ran 27 yards to the end zone for a 21-14 Titans lead. (Shelbyville Times-Gazette)
  • 11/20/05 - Cowboys 20, Lions 7: Detroit FB Cory Schlesinger got only a few inches on his first carry of the season, but it came on fourth-and-an-inch, giving the Lions a first down during their first scoring drive. (AP)
  • In an odd twist, Cowboys linebacker Ryan Fowler said Dat Nguyen sent him in when Scott Shanle went down with an ankle injury.
  • 11/20/05 - Patriots 24-Saints 17: Offensive lineman Russ Hochstein started his first game at center Sunday in place of Dan Koppen, who was placed on injured reserve last week with a separate shoulder.
"When we win, I’m really happy -- like now," Hochstein said. "I’m really happy right now, but I need to improve. I’m not perfect and it’s hard week in and week out. I need to fix the mistakes I made. Hopefully I’ll correct them before next week."
Brady hardly noticed the difference between Koppen and Hochstein. There were no fumbled snaps and the Patriots rushed for 132 yards -- their second-best performance of the season.
"Russ stepped in there and I think he did great today," Brady said. "We will see the film tomorrow. I know we won the game and I know he did some great things out there. We'll try to keep building, try to get some guys healthy and move on." (The Call)
  • 11/20/05 - Chiefs 45 Texans 17: Eric Warfield gave the Chiefs a 31-to-7 lead by returning an interception 57 yards for a touchdown with three seconds left in the first half. (AP)
