Details
  • 09/12/05 - 49ers 28-Rams 25: 49ers WR Johnnie Morton had one catch for 30 yards but suffered a concussion in the process. Rams left cornerback DeJuan Groce nailed Morton as the receiver came down with the ball at the St. Louis 10. It set up the 49ers' third touchdown, but Morton needed help off the field and did not return.
  • 09/12/05 - Bucs 24-Vikings 13: Expect competition to heat up for the Vikings at cornerback after a couple of suspect performances. In the second quarter, after missing two tackles — one on special teams, and one on a 41-yard reception by receiver Michael Clayton — third cornerback Brian Williams was demoted. Coaches replaced Williams with veteran Ralph Brown. But Brown was burned almost immediately, also by Clayton, who beat him for a 36-yard gain. Brown settled down thereafter, and he finished with two tackles. (Pioneer Press)
  • Buccaneers rookie linebacker Barrett Ruud didn't record any tackles but "had an impact on special teams". (Bradenton Herald)
  • 09/12/05 - Chiefs 27-Jets 7: Jets DE Trevor Johnson suffered a slight concussion on the opening kickoff. (Newsday)
  • 09/11/05 - Bills 22-Texans 7: Texans RB Dominick Davis fumbled when the ball was stripped by Bills DE Chris Kelsay.
  • 09/08/05 - Patriots 30-Raiders 20: Raiders first-round draft pick Fabian Washington standing on the sidelines for much of the game, popping sunflower seeds. (InsideBayArea.com)
