Details
  • 01/02/05 - Jaguars 13, Raiders 6: Center Adam Treu injured his left leg late in the game for the Raiders (5-11), who finished with just one more victory than the team's flop a year ago that led to the firing of coach Bill Callahan. (AP)
  • The Raiders moved to within 2 yards of a tying touchdown in the final seconds. They couldn't get any closer, however.
A botched exchange on fourth down proved to be the Raiders' final offensive play of the season. Center Adam Treu and quarterback Kerry Collins both took the blame for the fumbled snap.
"I just didn't get that last one up far enough," Treu said. "It's very frustrating. Something like that, you never think will happen, you know, fundamental, Day One stuff."
Collins said Treu snapped the ball fine. "It just squirted right through my hands."
Despite the soggy conditions, neither Collins nor Treu cited the weather as a significant factor. Treu also banged his left knee earlier in the fourth quarter. He missed several plays and re-entered for the decisive sequence. (Mercury News)
  • Titans 24, Lions 19: Joey Harrington put Detroit up 10-7 with a 21-yard touchdown toss to Cory Schlesinger at the end of a 75-play drive in the second. Schlesinger had one other reception in the game that went for just 2-yards.
  • Seahawks 28, Falcons 26: A blocked punt by Demorrio Williams set up Atlanta's first touchdown. (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)
