Details
  • 11/29/04 - Minnesota Vikings: Ralph Brown had three special teams tackles and was named the Vikings special teams player of the week. (Star Tribune)
  • 11/28/04 - Packers 45, Rams 17: Every Husker was injured for Monday Night's matchup between Green Bay and St. Louis. Packers RB Ahman Green was a game-time decision and didn't suit up. DB Dejuan Groce and G Chris Dishman were both out for the Rams.
Too bad too, a healthy Ahman Green may have racked up some serious yardage against the NFL's 29th ranked run defense. His replacement, Najeh Davenport, wasn't too shabby: 178 yards with 9.4 per carry.
  • 11/28/04 - Carolina 21, Buccaneers 14: An out of bounds kick off gave Tampa Bay the ball at its own 40, but they were forece back a yard on first down when RB Michael Pittman was caught in the backfield by DE Mike Rucker.
Later, as Pittman caught a short pass, juked a defender and picked up eight yards to the 15, DE Al Wallace jarred the ball loose with a hard hit from behind and S Mike Minter recovered for Carolina at the Panthers’ 11. The Bucs had to use a challenge to prove that WR Joey Galloway had touched Minter down at the 11. (Buccaneers.com)
  • 11/28/04 - Chargers 34, Chiefs 31: Chiefs Dante Hall had a seam and was gone. Osgood, hustling down the field, looked to be catching up as Hall crossed the twenty. The ball simply slipped out of Hall’s hands as he looked back to see who was trailing him and was recovered by Jerrell Pippens inside the San Diego five. The Chargers converted the turnover into a 25-yard field goal to tie the game at 17. (SDBoltReport.com)
  • 11/28/04 - Patriots 24, Ravens 3: Patriots LT Matt Light apparently suffered an injury without taking any contact. He had to be helped off the field and down the stairs leading to the locker room. Brandon Gorin moved to left tackle and Russ Hochstein (who is primarily a guard) took over for Gorin at right tackle. (Boston Herald)
  • 11/28/04 - Texans 31, Titans 21: The Titans blocked a 41-yard field-goal attempt by the Texans' Kris Brown with eight seconds remaining in the first half. Tennessee recovered the loose ball and a Keystone Kops scene ensued, as the frenetic Titans pitched the ball backward five times as time expired.
When the Texans finally shoved Tennessee's Michael Waddell out of bounds at the 50-yard line, several of Houston's players dropped to their knees and caught their breath following the feverish game of chase.
"I could have gone without that whole chasing-the-ball-around thing," Texans center Steve McKinney said, shaking his head. (San Antonio Express-News)
Brown nailed his other attempt, a 29-yarder, and was 1 of 1 in the game. Jay Foreman was listed as questionable with a shoulder injury and did not play. The Texans were down 21-3 in the second quarter, but came back to beat the Titans 31-21.
  • 11/28/04 - Bengals 58, Browns 48: In the 58-48 defenseless struggle won by the Bengals, Cincy punter Kyle Larson punted only two twice, both inside the 20-yard line. He finished with a 52.5-yard average (49.5-yard net).
