Details
  • 11/07/04 - Broncos 31, Texans 13: Linebacker Jay Foreman led the Texans in tackles with 10 (6 solo) and added one pass defended.
  • 11/07/04 - Chiefs 31, Bucs 34: Chiefs Eric Warfield also led his team in tackles with 7 (5 solo).
  • 11/07/04 - Combined, Kris Brown and Josh Brown Zero field goals, a rarity for two of the NFL's consistant kickers.
Josh's services were not needed for anything other than point-afters, on which he was 6 for 6 in the Seahawks 42-27 victory over the 49ers.
Kris on the other hand, was 0 for 1, going wide-right on a 37-yard attempt while not attempting a single extra point in the Texans loss to the Broncos.
  • 11/07/04 - Redskins 17, Lions 10: Detroit didn't get a second-half first down until the fourth quarter, but cut the lead to seven with 2:08 remaining on Joey Harrington's 1-yard pass to Cory Schlesinger. Washington's Sean Taylor recovered the onside kick, but the Redskins quickly punted. Detroit regained possession at its own 1-yard line with 96 seconds remaining and got to the Redskins' 20 as time expired. (AP)
  • 11/07/04 - Bills 22, Jets 17: Playing against a defensive line that featured the mammoth tackles Sam Adams and Pat Williams, the Jets' ground game was shut down in the second half. On one play, Curtis Martin bounced off the back of center Kevin Mawae, who was shoved into Martin by Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay. (NY Times)
Though the stats do not reflect it as such, Kelsay was a beast. He was putting a ton of pressure on Chad Pennington, and even getting him to lose 13 yards on a sack. Kelsay was also a big part of the run stuffing, making 5 tackles. (BillsZone.com)
Mike Mularkey called his play "relentless" and no truer words were spoken. The Jets did a nice job on Aaron Schobel, but they had no answers for Kelsay. It looks like he's earned a permanent starting job at DE over Ryan Denney. (Democrat & Chronicle)
