Details
  • 11/02/04 - Lions' center Dominic Raiola was sure that one of the Cowboys' defensive tackles was in the neutral zone, and that was why he snapped the ball early on a fourth-and-one play that resulted in a 10-yard loss when Harrington was sacked in the fourth quarter.
"The guy right over me was off-sides," Raiola said.
Raiola said he looked up to see if the Cowboys were going to blitz on the play and, as soon as he heard Harrington, he snapped the ball.
"I felt him jump," Raiola said. "I thought he was halfway in the neutral zone. I think when I dropped my head, he reacted."
The game officials obviously did not agree and the play stood. (Detroit Free Press)
  • 11/02/04 - Seahawks 23, Panthers 17: Here's how you shut up fans who are screaming nasty things at every Panther who runs off the field. You walk over to them, bump your fist against theirs (their fist, not face) and you throw them your gloves. Carolina safety Mike Minter is classy when everything is going his way. He also is classy when nothing is. (Charlotte Observer)
  • 11/02/04 - Tennessee 27, Bengals 20: Bengals punter Kyle Larson had his longest game of the year with a 53.2 average and a 44.6 net. He had two touchbacks, but he nestled a 66-yarder on the Titans 1 until cornerback Reggie Myles kicked it into the end zone. (Bengals.com)
  • 11/01/04 - Packers 28, Redskins 14: Ahman Green accounted for 143 yards from scrimmage and ran for two touchdowns to lead Green Bay to a 28-14 win over Washington. (SportsNetwork)
Because of an Achilles injury, Green wasn't expected garner as many carries this week, but Ahman carried on all but four of the Packers 30 ground plays. In the end Ahman had 24 carries for 70 yards, for an average of just 2.9 per carry, but he added a team-leading 73 yards on 4 receptions. Another mentionable statistic, Ahman had zero fumbles in the game.
  • 11/01/04 - Texans 20, Jaguars 3: After getting the ball at their own 39-yard line with 16 seconds left in the half, the Texans remained aggressive. Instead of taking a knee, Carr hit Andre Johnson for a 26-yard pass play down to the Jacksonville 35.
Kris Brown attempted a 53-yard field goal, hooked it wide left, but the Jaguars were flagged for a 15-yard leverage penalty attempting to block the kick.
Brown made the most of the second chance, booting a 38-yard field goal for a 10-3 lead as time expired in the half. (The Daily News)
  • 11/01/04 - Seahawks 23, Panthers 17: Like his Husker predecessor, Kris Brown, Seahawks K Josh Brown was also perfect on field goals, going 3 for 3 from 27, 45, and 22 yards out.
On the other side, Carolina S Mike Minter had 5 tackles (3 solo) and a fumble recovery while his defensive teammate Mike Rucker had 4 solo tackles in the Panthers' loss.
  • 11/01/04 - Tennessee 27, Bengals 20: Cincy P Kyle Larson has made a habit out of pinning the ball inside the 20 yard line this season. Against the Titans however, none of his kicks stayed in that zone while 2 of his 5 punts went for touchbacks. Touchbacks aside, Larson averaged 53.2 yards per punt, including a 66 yarder.
  • 11/01/04 - Chiefs 45, Colts 35: Chiefs CB Eric Warfield is having a Pro Bowl season according the coaches in Kansas City. Against the Colts, Warfield lead the team in tackles with 8 (7 solo), with 2 passes defended and a forced fumble.
  • 11/01/04 - Cowboys 31, Lions 21: Cowboys CB Tyrone Williams didn't return after straining a hamstring on the fourth play. (NFL.com)
His Dallas teammate, LB Scott Shanle, made two tackles on special teams- his younger brother, Andrew, did pretty well as a special teamer this weekend too..
