Details
  • 10/10/04 - Seahawks vs Rams: Grant Wistrom and his Seahawks teammates led for much of the game but Wistrom's former club got the last laugh in over-time. Seattle blew a 17-point lead in the final six minutes of regulation in a defensive collapse.
"We played like crap at every position on defense," said Wistrom. "That's what the problem was, just total breakdown. We weren't getting pressure on (Bulger) and guys were running around free because he had so much time to throw. We pretty much self-destructed out there." (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)
Wistrom himself had just 3 tackles and 1 pass defended against his former team.
  • Dejuan Groce, who started the game after missing time because of knee injury, had 6 solo tackles.
  • 10/10/04 - Vikings vs Texans: Texans LB Jay Foreman had a team-leading 9 solo tackles along with 4 assists.
  • The Vikings were concerned about soft coverage from several defensive backs, and might re-sign cornerback Derek Ross to replace Ralph Brown as their dime back. (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
Brown had one solo and one assisted tackle in the game against Houston.
  • 10/10/04 - Bills vs Jets: Buffalo DE Chris Kelsay got the first sack of his career in the Bills' loss to the Jets.
  • 10/10/04 - Lions vs Falcons: Lions' fullback Cory Schlesinger, who started the game despite being listed as questionable on the injury report, reinjured his hamstring and left the game in the second quarter.
  • 10/10/04 - Cowboys vs Giants: Cowboys new cornerback Tyrone Williams was inactive for today's game against the New York Giants. Cowboys coach Bill Parcells thought that Williams would have a chance to make an immediate impact, but he will go with rookie Bruce Thornton instead. (Dallas News)
