  • 09/20/04 - Bengals vs Dolphins: The special teams was mostly good for the Bengals, but a few timely plays really hurt. Kyle Larson had some great punts, but had one that bounced the wrong way and set the Dolphins up on their late comeback. (BengalsInsider.com)
  • 09/19/04 - Packers vs Bears: In the first quarter, on a third and 3, RB Ahman Green ran a draw play with QB Brett Favre leading the way with a block on S Mike Brown for a 25-yard gain. In the second quarter Brown exceeded the payback with a 95-yard fumble return for a touchdown that sparked the Bears to only the third win over their longtime rivals in their last 21 meetings. The ball was fumbled by Brown's former Husker teammate Ahman Green. (Packers Insider)
It was Brown's fifth defensive score, a team record, and the second-longest fumble return in Bears history, surpassed only by team founder George Halas' 98-yard return in 1923. It was also the second-longest fumble return for a score ever given up by Green Bay. (AP)
On ESPN's NFL Primetime, Chris Berman gave his Primetime Player nod to Mike Brown. The Packers lost despite Green's 128 yards rushing on 24 carries.
  • 09/19/04 - Chiefs vs Panthers: Late in the second quarter cornerback Eric Warfield made his sixteenth career interception. (WarpaintIllustrated.com)
Later, Panthers' QB Delhomme tried to thread the needle and Eric Warfield intercepted the Panthers quarterback for a 43-yard touchdown.
  • Mike Rucker was guarded by Pro-Bowl tackle Willy Roaf and was able to get into the back field on numerous occasions and helped move the pocket for Peppers to record his second sack that caused the fumble. (PantherInsider.com)
Before Kansas City quarterback Trent Green could start a late rally, Panthers Rucker spun off a blocker and knocked the ball from Green's hands. (News & Record)
  • 09/19/04 - Lions vs Texans: Fullback Cory Schlesinger caught a one-yard touchdown pass in the Lions' win over the Texans.
