Details:
  • *Keyuo Craver nominated for Week 13 NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
  • 12/01/03 - Baltimore vs San Francisco: Punting from his own end zone, Bill LaFleur made the best punt of his career, a 46- yarder with great hang time that put the ball at midfield. (SFGate.com)
  • 11/30/03 - New Orleans vs Washington: The winning score for the Saints was Aaron Brooks' 15-yard pass to Boo Williams with 9:38 remaining, the drive was set up by Keyuo Craver's 52-yard kickoff return. (AP)
  • 11/30/03 - Atlanta vs Houston: The Falcons were struggling against the Texans and Michael Vick took over for Doug Johnson, who started eight times in Vick's absence. The move proved that Vick was not too injured to have started the game, and Texans linebacker Jay Foreman was miffed the Falcons didn't start their best quarterback.
"At the start we thought he was hurt, then we could see he was throwing on the sidelines and wasn't hurt," Foreman said. "They took the Texans like it was a warmup game, and we took it personal." (AP)
      Houston won the game 17-13.
  • 11/30/03 - Kansas City vs San Diego: The Chiefs were up 21-17 late in the 3rd quarter and had the ball first-and-goal and the Chargers 2-yard-line. The drive did not end successfully for KC and it started when Carlos Polk shed two blocks to trip up Holmes in the backfield for a loss of four. Dingle followed by smacking the ball out of Trent Green’s hand to cause a fumble that bounced back to the 20 yard line before Donald Willis fell on the ball to bring up third and goal from the 20. For the first time all year a chant of, “Defense! Defense!” went up. Jammer followed with his second interception of the game, this time in the end zone. The Chargers stopped the Chiefs on that occasion but KC went on to win 28-24. (Silver & Black Illustrated)
  • 11/30/03 - Philadelphia vs Carolina: On the first play from scrimmage, Donovan McNabb’s pass deflected off the hands of fullback Jon Ritchie and into the arms of defensive end Mike Rucker. The Panthers red zone blues started there, however, as they would settle for a 20-yard field goal by Kasay after Delhomme was tackled at the 2-yard line on a quarterback scramble.
After the game Mike Minter commented, "You get frustrated losing two big-time games, everything was set for us to go out and do what we wanted to do and establish ourselves and we didn’t do it both times." (Freedom News Service)
  • 11/30/03 - Philadelphia vs Carolina: Correll Buckhalter carried the ball 6 times for 30 yards.
  • 11/28/03 - Green Bay vs Detroit: The Lion's defense held NFC rushing leader Ahman Green to 57 yards on 13 carries, held the No. 1-rushing offense to 52 net yards (121.5 below the Packers' average) and sacked quarterback Brett Favre four times.
  • One of Detroits successful drives included an 18-yard run by Olandis Gary with the help of a crunching block by fullback Cory Schlesinger. (Detroit Free Press)
  • 11/30/03 - Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati: Jerome Bettis' third-quarter touchdown gave him 338 career points with the Steelers, passing K Kris Brown for sixth on the team's all-time list. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
  • Tyrone Williams did not play (benched).
