Details:
  • 01/19/04 - Carolina vs Philadelphia: The big play in the game came before Ricky Manning Jr's first interception. The Panthers blitzed Mike Minter on a first-and-10 at the Panthers 22-yard line. Defensive end Mike Rucker made an inside move to pressure McNabb. Staley stepped in front to try to save McNabb but he couldn't. Rucker went flying forward but Staley went backward. Falling backward, Staley knocked down McNabb for a sack. (ESPN)
  • 01/19/04 - The worst break for the Eagles came when quarterback Donovan McNabb injured his ribs with 4 minutes, 22 seconds left in the second quarter.
On first and 10 on the Carolina 23-yard line, McNabb was initially hurt after he tumbled backward to the turf after being tripped by Panthers defensive end Mike Rucker. Linebacker Greg Favors, unsure if the play was over, then jumped on McNabb and sent him into an awkward roll, bending McNabb's left leg into the quarterback's chest as he clutched the ball on his stomach. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
  • 01/19/04 - Correll Buckhalter did not start the game but carried the ball 11 times for 48 yards (4.4 avg). He also had 2 receptions for 26 yards and no touchdowns.
